AU4 - ROUND 3 ADELAIDE

We have reached the middle of the season for AU4 at The Bend, Adelaide. The Thursday was a full day of practice - getting the car and set up fine tuned for the weekend. Battling some cold, windy and foggy skies, it was a great day to catch up and get those laps in. The day concluded with filming a new suit reveal - showing off Angus’ newfound acting skills.

Friday was another long day at the track - 3 practice sessions. The first presented Angus with new weather conditions, some fog. This meant there was reduced visibility and water on the track, however the practice session still went on to get some added experience in a new environment. The other practices were bright and sunny and Angus easily streamlined through the practice and was feeling really positive about the weekend ahead. To get some added laps in, rental karting next door was the afternoon’s activity. Angus, Kobi and Lewis all took their own helmets and battled it out on the karting track - including some spins, off roading and rough bumping.

Saturday was qualifying and a race. Qualifying was the first up for the day meaning all the practice from the last 2 days had to come into practice now. Quali was a battle, lots of traffic on laps meaning Angus would get caught up behind other people making him qualify P9 and P6. A midfield battle was upon Angus but he was ready for a challenge.

This afternoon was Race 1, and Angus starting from P9. Lots of battles with Brock and other competetors saw Angus fight up to P6. Some good positions gained and his lap time put him in P7 for tomorrow’s Race 2.

After an evening reset, it was time for the penultimate race of the weekend. Lining up on the grid came around quickly, and then the lights were out. More battles and dramatic battles happened, including a safety car to bunch up the field. An excellent fight through the field meant Angus finishing in P6, another race showing off Angus’ determination. One more race of the weekend was left, and the final chance for Angus to fight through the midfield. Angus really put his all into the final race, chasing people down and pushing the car to the limits. He finished again in P6, remaining consistent for the whole weekend.
